Meldungen

Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company, the world’s last manufacturer of office typewriters, is putting its last 500 machines on sale at discount prices.
“From the early 2000 onwards, computers started dominating,” Godrej & Boyc general manager Milind Dukle, told India’s Business Standard newspaper. “All the manufacturers of office typewriters stopped production, except us. Till 2009, we used to produce 10,000 to 12,000 machines a year.”

Zweitens: Kein Sicherheitsnetz funktioniert immer.

A man has died after a safety net failed during a human cannonball stunt. The accident happened during a show put on by Scott May’s Daredevil Stunt Show at the Kent County Showground in Detling at about 3.30pm on Monday.
The 23-year-old man was flown by air ambulance to Maidstone Hospital, but later died from his injuries.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “A man taking part in a human cannonball event this afternoon has died after it is believed a safety net failed to engage.”.
